Position | Deputy General Manager (Procurement) |
Purpose | To design, develop, and implement procurement strategies and operations to maximize process efficiency and productivity within the parameters of applicable/legal regulatory framework. |
Qualification | MBA/Master/Bachelor degree with 16 years of qualification in Management/Supply Chain Management/Logistics. |
Experience | 10 years post qualification procurement experience, including 3-5 years as Procurement Manager particularly in B2B, with knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations Authority Rules and related rules & regulations. |
Skills Required | – Quick learner, multitasker – Able to conduct detailed procedures in time constrained environment – Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills – Problem solving and team leadership skills |

Key Job Responsibilities | – Lead the development and implementation of PMDC Procurement strategy – Design processes and procedures to support business goals – Manage procurement budget – Lead sourcing of new vendors and negotiate contracts – Develop policies and procedures in compliance with PPRA rules – Set guidelines for cost-effective procurement – Perform risk assessment on potential contracts – Reduce reliance on single bidders/suppliers |
