Eligibility Criteria	– Chartered Accountant, ICMA, or CPA certified. – Minimum 20 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. – Experience handling large investments with multiple funding options.
Purpose	This role is integral to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. It involves managing financial reporting, ensuring regulatory and accounting compliance, and collaborating with other departments to develop financial goals, and policies, and optimize financial performance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities	– Develop and implement the university’s financial planning and budgeting processes aligned with strategic goals. – Support financial strategy and long-term forecasting, offering insights for decision-making. – Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders. – Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. – Assess financial risks and create mitigation strategies, implementing risk management practices. – Manage cash flow and optimize financial resource utilization. – Provide investment guidance, manage portfolios, and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with university goals. – Implement and maintain financial systems for efficient and accurate operations and reporting. – Collaborate with auditors, government agencies, and financial institutions to ensure compliance and address financial matters. – Prepare financial reports, presentations, and recommendations for the Board of Governors. – Serve as Secretary, Board of Governors.
